Meet Lorin

Lorin Anderson is a devoted husband, father of four, and the proud captain of Team Stoke at All Day Surf.

Raised on the Central Coast, he has more than 30 years of hands-on surfing experience and an authentic love for the ocean that informs everything he does. Lorin’s approachable, patient teaching style helps beginners feel safe and excited on their first waves, while his enthusiasm and clear communication keep seasoned surfers motivated to refine technique and push their limits. He is a competitor and coach with over a decade of experience at the Central Coast’s highest levels, Lorin blends technical know-how with a keen eye for individual learning styles. He teaches fundamentals—paddling efficiency, wave selection, timing, and positioning—then builds toward advanced maneuvers, fitness, and ocean awareness. Safety is central to his instruction: he emphasizes reading conditions, board control, etiquette, and confidence-building so students progress sustainably and enjoy the ocean responsibly.

Lorin’s surf experience extends well beyond the Central Coast. Years of travel to breaks across California, Mexico, and the South Pacific have deepened his understanding of diverse swell, tide, and wind patterns, and exposed him to varied board shapes and coaching methods. Those travels inform his adaptive coaching approach—whether adjusting technique for punchy beach breaks, long point waves, or mellow reef takes—so students learn skills that transfer to any lineup.

Known for his calm leadership, warm sense of humor, and contagious stoke, Lorin creates lessons that are both fun and results-driven. He takes pride in helping families, young surfers, and aspiring competitors find their rhythm in the water, grow their confidence, and develop a lifelong respect for the ocean.
